John H. Osteen

My Pastor, John H. Osteen, founder of Lakewood Church, departed this life on Saturday, January 23, 1999 at 4:58 p.m. He fought the good fight and is rejoicing with the Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Osteen was loved by people all over the world because of his heart for Missions. He began preaching when he was 17 and preached the good news about Jesus for 60 years. He was a wonderful teacher of the Word of God - always preaching a gospel of love, compassion, and mercy.

Family, friends, and people all over the world salute a great man, and know that Jesus said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

I attended Lakewood Church when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior through watching Christian television. Pastor Osteen became my mentor and I became one of his many proteges. Through him I learned much about integrity, love, compassion, mercy, giving, and a burning desire to reach out to the unsaved people of the world.

Pastor Osteen gave me a "Worldwide Vision" for Jesus Christ. I owe him a debt that I cannot ever repay. I intend to reach out to the lost and hurting world until the Lord Jesus returns or I leave this earth. I long to see my Pastor again in heaven.

I founded International Christian Network Church over 10 years ago. We are a non-denominational Church that is located in Sugar Land, Texas (Southwest Houston). Over 60% of my congregation are active in outreach ministries weekly. I owe all this to Pastor Osteen imparting into me the burning desire to reach out to hurting people with the good news of Jesus Christ. I am imparting into my people what Pastor Osteen imparted into me many years ago.

I also founded this ICNC Website and went online via the World-Wide Web on October 23, 1997 with that same burning desire to "NETWORK the WORLD" for the cause of Jesus Christ. We have reached more than 100,000 people through this web-site since that day. People from all over the world email us. They tell me how much this web-site has changed their lives for Jesus Christ.

One day, when I see Jesus, I hope to hear Him say unto me what He said to my Pastor, John Osteen, "Well done, My good and faithful servant".
