Family Bible Church Statement of Belief

We believe:

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

There is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

The resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved into resurrection of life and they that are lost into the resurrection of judgment.

The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing to the human body, soul, and spirit.

Water baptism is a work of faith that should always be expressed when a person is born again. Through baptism, the truth of the gospel message is acted out in the life of the believer - that baptism shows their identification by faith with Christ - first in His death and burial unto sin, and second in His resurrection to newness of life.

The baptism in the Holy Spirit is given to all believers who ask for it.

The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to all believers who ask for them.
